1990-1992
M.Sc.
1986-1989
B.Sc.
Diploma in kinesiology (Canada)
That's when I first started being interested in science, motor control, locomotion, and health.
Diploma in neurokinetic (Canada)
My first scientific experiments on brain and spinal cord mechanisms involved in the control of involuntary, unconsciously-driven motor behaviors such as basic locomotion.
1996-2000
Invited researcher
PDF in Oxford, Denmark, France
I further specialized myself in neuropharmacology, neurogenetics, neuroelectrophysiology, and neurobehavior.
1993-1996
Ph.D.
Diploma in neurophysiology (Canada)
My first step as a researcher in the field of locomotor function recovery and spinal cord injury. I studied the role of involuntary proprioceptive reflex in locomotor rhythm generation.
2004-2024
2001-2020
Professor and laboratory director
Independent projects (Canada)
As an independent researcher with my own laboratory, my main mission was to further understand the spinal cord as well as to discover new therapies for those most in need with a spinal cord injury, metabolic disorders, and aging diseases. Multiple international collaborations led to the creation of the Biosynergis Group aimed at promoting health innovation.
Pharma Exective
Developer of therapies (Canada, Luxembourg, Belgium)
In parallel to my academic career, I undertook to conduct drug development activities to bring to market groundbreaking discoveries and corresponding therapies. In recent years, I essentially did some work as a consultant (internally and externally) for other pharmaceutical companies
2010-2024
Author about consciousness
Developer of innovative
meditation approaches (Belgium, Canada)
After having investigated unconsciously-controlled behaviors, my last passion has become the neurobiological basis of consciousness. I developed new theories (e.g., 3TC consciousness, relative consciousness), introduced a new terminology, and designed user-friendly approaches for meditation 24/7 despite the imperatives of modern life.
